Cavex Outline, Impression Paste Eugenol Free is a material for making impressions of the edentulous jaw. The mixed impression paste flows easily under light pressure, preventing
distortions of the soft tissue occuring while the impression is made and accurately reproducing all details.
For this reason, Cavex Outline, Impression Paste Eugenol Free is particularly suitable for rebasing and for the second impression with the individual tray.
It does not contain eugenol and is therefore highly patient-friendly.
Cavex Outline, Impression Paste Eugenol Free is supplied as a two-paste system in the contrasting colours blue and white. Squeezing out lines of equal length will dose the pastes in the
correct proportion for mixing: 1 g of blue paste to 2,2 g of white paste.
Note: in all other proportions, setting will take longer.
Mixing time
Mix the two pastes well on the mixing block supplied using a sturdy stainless steel spatula until the mixture acquires a homogenous colour. This takes about 30 seconds.
The spatula can best be cleaned with a tissue before setting.
Taking an impression
Apply the prepared paste to the prosthesis or the impression tray and place this in the mouth under slight pressure within 1½ minutes of mixing the paste. The setting time in the mouth is 2-3 minutes.
Remove the tray from the mouth and carefully rinse the impression with cold running water.
Casting with plaster
The impression can immediately be cast with plaster. The impressions remain dimensional stable up to 7 days.
